Biogenic synthesis of Bi2O3 nanoparticles using Cassia fistula plant pod extract for the effective degradation of organic dyes in aqueous medium

Summary: In this study, Bi2O3 nanoparticles were prepared using Cassia fistula plant pod extract and their photocatalytic potential for the degradation of ARS dye was investigated. The results showed that the prepared Bi2O3 nanoparticles had excellent photocatalytic degradation performance, as well as catalytic reduction efficiency for MB and RhB dyes. Additionally, the nanoparticles exhibited good photostability and degradation cycle performance.

Biosynthesized δ-Bi2O3 Nanoparticles from Crinum viviparum Flower Extract for Photocatalytic Dye Degradation and Molecular Docking

Summary: Bioinspired delta-bismuth oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using a greener reducing agent and surfactant. The use of Crinum viviparum flower extract for the fabrication of nanoparticles was employed for the first time. The nanoparticles showed promising photocatalytic activity for the degradation of toxic dyes and also exhibited good inhibition of the New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase 1 enzyme.
