Eveline J. A. Wiegers et al.

Summary: This study compared patients with severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) between Australia, the United Kingdom (UK), and Europe in terms of characteristics, management, and outcomes. The study found that Australian patients were younger, had a higher rate of secondary brain insults, and had lower mortality than expected. While there were differences in functional outcomes between regions, overall mortality and unfavorable outcome rates were within expected ranges.
