FinGAT: Financial Graph Attention Networks for Recommending Top-$K$K Profitable Stocks

Yi-Ling Hsu et al.

Summary: Financial technology (FinTech) has attracted attention in the investment and corporate world. However, there has been less focus on profitable stock recommendation in FinTech compared to stock price prediction. Existing approaches neglect the relationships among stocks and sectors, leading to a lack of information and inability to depict stock price interactions. In this research, a deep learning-based model called Financial Graph Attention Networks (FinGAT) is proposed to recommend profitable stocks using time series and sector information, without pre-defined stock relationships. Experimental results on Taiwan Stock, S&P 500, and NASDAQ datasets demonstrate the remarkable performance of FinGAT compared to state-of-the-art methods.

HGNN: Hierarchical graph neural network for predicting the classification of price-limit-hitting stocks

Cong Xu et al.

Summary: This study aims to predict whether a stock that hits its daily price limit will also close at the same price level, and proposes a novel hierarchical graph neural network (HGNN) to improve the prediction accuracy. Experimental results show that the method outperforms state-of-the-art solutions in terms of accuracy and return ratio.

Exploring the Scale-Free Nature of Stock Markets: Hyperbolic Graph Learning for Algorithmic Trading

Ramit Sawhney et al.

Summary: Quantitative trading and investment decision making in the global stock market are complex financial tasks with a total value of sixty trillion dollars. This study introduces HyperStockGAT, a model that leverages domain knowledge to model inter-stock relations and shows significant outperformance in profitability and Sharpe Ratio compared to state-of-the-art stock forecasting methods. The novel hyperbolic architecture proposed in this research can potentially be applied to various spatiotemporal problems on scale-free networks commonly found on the Web.
