Hysteretic response of bulk magnetostrictive material employing a novel hyperbolic vector generalized magneto-thermoelastic constitutive model

P. K. Singh et al.

Summary: A generalized nonlinear hysteretic thermo-magneto-elastic vector model has been developed using Taylor series expansion of Gibbs free energy density function, demagnetization physics, and Weiss molecular field. The model accounts for nonlinear elastic strains induced by magnetic domain rotation and includes the pinning of magnetic domain walls. Finite element analyses and experimental validation demonstrate the efficacy of the model in predicting magnetostriction and hysteresis responses.
