A Sparse Model-Inspired Deep Thresholding Network for Exponential Signal Reconstruction--Application in Fast Biological Spectroscopy

Zi Wang et al.

Summary: In this work, we propose a DL architecture called MoDern for spectra reconstruction from undersampled data by combining the advantages of the sparse model-based optimization method and data-driven DL. Extensive experiments on synthetic and biological data demonstrate that MoDern achieves more robust, high-fidelity, and ultrafast reconstruction compared to existing methods. Remarkably, MoDern has a small number of network parameters and generalizes well to biological data in various scenarios. Furthermore, we extend MoDern to a user-friendly cloud computing platform (XCloud-MoDern), contributing a promising strategy for the further development of biological applications.

Accelerated MRI Reconstruction With Separable and Enhanced Low-Rank Hankel Regularization

Xinlin Zhang et al.

Summary: Magnetic resonance imaging is an essential tool for clinical diagnosis, but it suffers from long acquisition time. Sparse sampling can save time, but faithful reconstruction from undersampled data is needed. Among the existing reconstruction methods, structured low-rank methods have advantages in robustness and lower error. However, they consume considerable time and memory. To reduce the size of the Hankel matrix, we proposed a method to construct multiple small Hankel matrices from rows and columns of the k-space, leading to reduced computational time. However, this approach ignores correlation and may result in increased reconstruction error. To improve the reconstruction without increasing computation, we introduced self-consistency of k-space and virtual coil prior. The proposed method achieves the lowest reconstruction error with fast computation.

Learned Low-Rank Priors in Dynamic MR Imaging

Ziwen Ke et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a method, named SLR-Net, which improves reconstruction results in dynamic MR imaging by exploring low-rank priors. Experimental results demonstrate that SLR-Net can further improve compressed sensing and deep learning methods in both single-coil and multi-coil scenarios, showing strong robustness to different undersampling patterns. The method shows capability and flexibility in real-time scenarios according to prospective reconstruction results on an open real-time dataset.
