A Non-Stationary 3D Model for 6G Massive MIMO mmWave UAV Channels

Lu Bai et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a non-stationary three-dimensional irregular-shaped geometry-based stochastic model for 5G and beyond massive MIMO mmWave UAV channels. It introduces a novel UAV-related space-time cluster evolution algorithm to better represent the space-time non-stationarity in UAV scenarios. The impact of UAV-related parameters on channel statistical properties is explored, providing assistance for the design of 6G massive MIMO mmWave UAV communication systems.

Modeling and Analysis of MIMO Multipath Channels With Aerial Intelligent Reflecting Surface

Zhangfeng Ma et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the research of aerial intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) assisted multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) narrowband channels using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and high-altitude platforms (HAPs). A novel method of designing phase-shifts for IRS elements is proposed to change the wireless channel and create a favorable propagation environment. The results show that adjusting the phase-shifts of IRS can effectively mitigate multipath and Doppler effects, and improve channel capacity. These conclusions provide a fundamental support for developing intelligent and controllable propagation environments of the future sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks.
