Long-Term Matching Optimization With Federated Neural Temporal Difference Learning in Mobility-on-Demand Systems

Summary: This article proposes a systemic paradigm of online matching with federated neural temporal difference learning (FedTDLearning) to achieve long-term optimization in industrial mobility-on-demand (MOD) systems. It models the long-term matching process as a Markov decision process and solves it using data-driven reinforcement learning. In the matching phase, a real-time bipartite graph matching optimization problem is formulated and solved using the combinatorial fractional programming approach. Experimental evaluations show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms in practice.
