Sun heated MeV-scale dark matter and the XENON1T electron recoil excess

Yifan Chen et al.

Summary: The XENON1T collaboration reported an excess of low-energy electron recoil events and explored the possibility of explaining it with MeV-scale dark matter heated by the Sun. Different form factors of DM-electron interactions were studied and the inclusion of Sun-heated DM improved the fit to the data. Inferred DM-electron scattering cross sections were obtained and constraints for these form factors were derived, showing stronger results than previous studies.

Ultra-light dark matter

Elisa G. M. Ferreira

Summary: Ultra-light dark matter, composed of bosons with masses ranging from 10(-24)eV < m < eV, has garnered attention for its ability to form a Bose-Einstein condensate or superfluid on galactic scales. Various models have been proposed, including fuzzy dark matter, self-interacting fuzzy dark matter, and DM superfluid, with the potential to reconcile the cold DM picture with small-scale behavior. These models present a rich phenomenology and are being tested using astrophysical and cosmological observations.

In the realm of the Hubble tension-a review of solutions *

Eleonora Di Valentino et al.

Summary: There are significant discrepancies in predictions of the Hubble constant, leading to various proposed solutions including new physics theories or modifications to existing cosmological models. Some solutions successfully reduce tension and improve agreement with data, while many others fail to do so, highlighting the need for further research and evidence.

Baryogenesis from the weak scale to the grand unification scale

Dietrich Boedeker et al.

Summary: This review discusses the current status of baryogenesis with a focus on electroweak baryogenesis and leptogenesis, including models, mechanisms, and constraints. Progress has been made in studying the generation of baryon asymmetry through sphaleron processes and CP-violating decays, with implications for composite Higgs models and neutrino masses. Additionally, advancements in thermal leptogenesis and possible probes of the seesaw mechanism and B - L breaking at the GUT scale by gravitational waves are also highlighted.

Cosmic axion background

Jeff A. Dror et al.

Summary: This study examines the search for cosmic axion relics, emphasizing the importance of the Cosmic axion Background (CaB) and the variety of axion sources that can be detected through characteristic frequency spectra in axion direct detection experiments. The research shows that current and future versions of experimental instruments have good sensitivity to detect relativistic axion relics.
