Impact of NOx and NH3 addition on toluene oxidation over MnOx-CeO2 catalyst

Lyumeng Ye et al.

Summary: The simultaneous addition of NOx and NH3 has a significant impact on the oxidation of toluene over the MnOx-CeO2 catalyst, with NH3-SCR reactants and NO2 adsorption state playing important roles in deactivation. Adsorbed NO2 can enhance toluene oxidation, while nitrate species on the surface are inactive. NO2 adsorption is the weakest among the reactants, limiting its promotion of toluene oxidation.

Promotion of NH3-SCR activity by sulfate-modification over mesoporous Fe doped CeO2 catalyst: Structure and mechanism

Hui Wang et al.

Summary: The mesoporous Fe-doped CeO2 catalyst, modified with organic sulfate functional groups, exhibits excellent activity with over 80% NOx conversion in a temperature range of 250-450 degrees C. The strong electron interaction between Fe-O-Ce species and sulfate groups alters the acidity and redox properties of the catalyst, leading to the generation of new Brønsted acid sites and promoting NOx conversion.

Improvement of NH3-SCR activity and resistance to SO2 and H2O by Ce modified La-Mn perovskite catalyst

Xueke Shi et al.

Summary: Ce-modified La-Mn perovskite catalysts exhibit enhanced catalytic performance for NOx removal, achieving high conversion rates at relatively low temperatures and maintaining stability in the presence of sulfur dioxide and water. Ce doping improves the catalyst's tolerance to SO2 and enhances its specific surface area, acidic sites, chemically adsorbed oxygen, and redox performance.

Enhanced hydrothermal stability of Cu/SSZ-39 with increasing Cu contents, and the mechanism of selective catalytic reduction of NOx

Guangying Fu et al.

Summary: Cu/SSZ-39 is an alternative highly effective catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx compounds in Diesel exhaust, with its hydrothermal stability depending on copper content. Mutual protective effect is observed between Cu2+ ion species and framework tetrahedral Al atoms. In situ DRIFTS suggests a mixed Eley-Rideal and Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanism for SCR reactions over this catalyst at low temperatures.
