Dual quantum dot nanobeads-based fluorescence-linked immunosorbent assay for simultaneous detection of aflatoxin B1 and zearalenone in feedstuffs

Fluorescence immunoassay based on phage mimotope for nontoxic detection of Zearalenone in maize

Summary: A phage-based direct competitive fluorescence immunosorbent assay (P-dcFLISA) was developed for the detection of Zearalenone (ZEN). The use of phage mimotope and ZnCdSe/ZnS quantum dots improved the safety and sensitivity of the assay compared to traditional methods. The P-dcFLISA showed a lower limit of detection and higher recovery rates, making it a promising method for ZEN detection and agricultural monitoring.

Recombinant expression and surface display of a zearalenone lactonohydrolase from Trichoderma aggressivum in Escherichia coli

Summary: In this study, a zearalenone lactonohydrolase from Trichoderma aggressivum (ZHD-P) was successfully expressed and characterized, showing high activity for ZEN degradation. The surface-displayed ZHD-P exhibited better temperature and pH stability, as well as superior metal ions tolerance compared to the intracellular ZHD-P. Moreover, ZHD-P could effectively reduce the biotoxicity of ZEN through degradation into less toxic products.
