Stainless steel-initiated chloro sulfoximidations of allenes under solvent-free conditions in a ball mill

Summary: In this study, mechanochemical regioselective chloro sulfoximidations of allenes were achieved through stainless steel-initiated radical addition reactions at ambient temperature under solvent-free conditions. The reactions showed good compatibility with a wide range of substrates and did not require an additional catalyst. The resulting vinyl sulfoximines were found to be further derivatizable. Similar reactions were also observed with arylsulfonyl iodides adding to allenes.

Hybrid energy harvesters (HEHs) show the highest power densities due to combined piezoelectric-electromagnetic energy conversion, ranging from 35.43-4900 mu W.

Finite element analysis and simulations led to the fabrication of an actual piezoelectric speaker with optimal frequency-response characteristics, achieving a sound pressure level of approximately 75 dB and total harmonic distortion below 15% in the audible frequency range.
