Industry structure optimization via the complex network of industry space: A case study of Jiangxi Province in China

Jing Cheng et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the optimization of industry structure in Jiangxi Province, China based on the complex network of industry space. The location quotient and conditional probability are used to analyze the interdependencies between industries. The complex network of industry space is presented to illustrate the relatedness among industries and analyze the space and structure of the regional overall industry. The index of transitional potential and the transformation difficulty index of industry are proposed to measure the potential and difficulty level of industry transformation. The results show that positive interdependencies exist between industries in Jiangxi Province, and cities with higher GDP are more likely to specialize in common industries. The analysis of industries with positive interdependencies provides detailed directions for industry structure optimization. Policy implications are proposed and can be applied to other developing countries.

An Improved Element-Free Galerkin Method Based on the Dimension Splitting Moving Least-Squares Method for 2D Potential Problems in Irregular Domains

Fengxin Sun et al.

Summary: In this paper, a DS-MLS method is proposed by introducing dimension splitting into the moving least-squares approximation. By coupling with Galerkin weak form, an IEFGM method based on the DS-MLS method is proposed for solving 2D potential problems on irregular domains. Numerical results demonstrate that the IEFGM method consumes less CPU time and has higher computational accuracy compared to the EFG method.

A cell-based smoothed radial point interpolation method applied to kinematic limit analysis of thin plates

Shenshen Chen et al.

Summary: In this paper, a cell-based smoothed radial point interpolation method combined with second order cone programming is proposed for kinematic limit analysis of rigid-perfectly plastic thin plates. The method is able to provide reasonable and satisfactory upper bound limit load multipliers for thin plates.

The dimension splitting interpolating element-free Galerkin method for solving three-dimensional transient heat conduction problems

Q. Wu et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a dimension splitting interpolating element-free Galerkin (DSIEFG) method for solving 3D transient heat conduction problems. By splitting the problem domain and using the improved interpolating moving least-squares method, DSIEFG is able to directly apply boundary conditions, improving computational accuracy and efficiency.

Mathematical Models and Data Analysis of Residential Land Leasing Behavior of District Governments of Beijing in China

Jing Cheng

Summary: This study analyzes the leasing behavior of residential land in Beijing using mathematical models and regression formulas to determine the influencing factors and numerical results of the district government's behavior. The results show how government factors impact the leased price and total area of residential land in Beijing, leading to policy implications for district government regarding residential land leasing in the city.
