Economic effects of climate change on agricultural production and productivity in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)

Consumers' willingness to pay for second-generation ethanol in Brazil

Summary: Although Brazil mainly produces first-generation ethanol, a study found that Brazilian consumers are willing to pay an average 8.5% premium for gasoline blended with second-generation ethanol (E2G), and consumers who are more informed about biofuels and have higher income are more likely to pay a premium for E2G. Heterogeneity in the productivity of sugar-energy mills in Brazil
