Summary: In this study, a highly oriented MIL-101(Cr) continuous film was developed on carbon cloth and used as a reliable interlayer for lithium-sulfur batteries. This interlayer possesses a unique hierarchical porous structure and abundant active sites, providing efficient confinement of polysulfides and promoting the conversion of polysulfides. The composite interlayer exhibited excellent rate performance, cycle stability and areal specific capacity under high sulfur loading.

Minimizing Long-Chain Polysulfide Formation in Li-S Batteries by Using Localized Low Concentration Highly Fluorinated Electrolytes

A multifunctional UiO-66@carbon interlayer as an efficacious suppressor of polysulfide shuttling for lithium-sulfur batteries
