Contributions of flame thickening and extinctions to a heat release rate marker of intensely turbulent premixed hydrogen-enriched methane-air flames

Sajjad Mohammadnejad et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influences of reaction zone thickening and extinctions on a heat release rate marker of extremely turbulent hydrogen-enriched methane-air flames. Experimental results show that increasing turbulence intensity leads to broadening of the reaction and preheat zones, suggesting a need for improvements in turbulent flame speed formulations.
