Numerical simulation method of a circulating fluidized bed reactor using a modified MP-PIC solver of OpenFOAM

Inhyeok Cho et al.

Summary: This study verified the MPPICFoam solver for a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor by comparing the simulation results with experimental data and literature results. By introducing a new module and the inter-boundary particle circulation function, the modified solver was able to accurately predict the pressure distribution and solid volume fraction in the CFB reactor.
