Steady slip flow of Newtonian fluids through tangential polygonal microchannels

Grant Keady

Summary: This paper investigates the problem of finding or approximating functions defined within and on the boundary of a tangential polygon, with Laplacian -1 and satisfying a homogeneous Robin boundary condition. A variational estimate is used to study the dependence of the solution's integral on the parameter beta and the geometry of the polygon. Regular polygons and triangles, especially isosceles triangles, are among the classes of polygons considered.
