Preharvest Bagging as an Alternative Technique for Enhancing Fruit Quality: A Review

Nana Millicent Duduzile Buthelezi et al.

Summary: Poor orchard management and field sanitation can lead to fruit tree infections and pest infestations, affecting postharvest fruit quality. The use of agrochemicals like fungicides and insecticides to manage pathogens and pests has been criticized for its adverse effects on workers' safety, consumers' health, and the environment. Preharvest bagging is an environmentally friendly technology that protects tree fruit against various threats and enhances fruit quality.

Influence of shade intensity on growth, biomass allocation, yield and quality of pineapple in mango-based intercropping system

Kundan Kishore et al.

Summary: The study shows that moderate shade intensity can increase growth and fruit yield of pineapple, as well as enhance chlorophyll content and nutrient uptake. Decreased light intensity leads to a reduction in total soluble solids and sugar content in fruits, while titratable acidity increases.
