Exosome based miRNA delivery strategy for disease treatment

Zhengwen Fang et al.

Summary: miRNAs are non-coding RNAs that play an important role in regulating physiological activities by targeting various mRNAs. However, the degradation of miRNA in vivo limits its clinical application. Exosomes, with their ability to cross biological barriers and communicate with cells, are excellent carriers for miRNAs. It has been shown that exosomes loaded with miRNAs can enrich specific endogenous miRNAs and regulate various physiological activities. They have shown promising performance in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disease treatment, and regenerative medicine. This paper provides a systematic description of the application and research progress of exosomes carrying miRNA in these fields.

Washing-free chemiluminescence immunoassay for rapid detection of cardiac troponin I in whole blood samples

Huan Zhao et al.

Summary: A chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) method was developed for the rapid detection of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in whole blood samples without centrifugation. The method utilized magnetic particles with immobilized antibodies to capture antigens and erythrocytes, and polychloromethylstyrene microspheres (PCMS) for signal amplification. The CLIA method showed high sensitivity, broad linear range, and was not significantly interfered by endogenous substances, demonstrating great potential for clinical application.
