Comparative analysis on similarities and differences of hydrogen energy development in the World's top 4 largest economies: A novel framework

Liu Pingkuo et al.

Summary: Hydrogen energy, as a low-carbon energy source, plays a crucial role in energy transition, but countries face different challenges and advantages in the development of the hydrogen industry. Currently, the development of hydrogen energy in each country is still in the stage of quantitative change, and the inflection point of qualitative change has not been reached.

Hydrogen energy deployment in decarbonizing transportation sector using multi-supply-demand integrated scenario analysis with nonlinear programming d A Shanxi case study

Ying-jie Zhao et al.

Summary: This study investigates the forecast of hydrogen energy development for decarbonization in the transportation sector, using Shanxi as a representative sample. Through the establishment of a nonlinear programming model, hydrogen energy deployment in different periods and regions is analyzed to obtain the CO2 emission reduction potential. The results show that green hydrogen contributes the most to low-carbon hydrogen development strategies.

Gas Production from Methane Hydrate Reservoirs in Different Well Configurations: A Case Study in the Conditions of the Black Sea

Ibrahim Muhammed Ubeyd et al.

Summary: Gas hydrates are seen as near-future energy resources due to their global existence. A recent study in China tested gas production from methane hydrate-bearing clayey silts via horizontal well technology for the first time. The effect of well configuration on gas production from the Black Sea gas hydrates was investigated, with findings showing higher gas production via horizontal wells in the early stages but higher production with vertical wells in later periods. Clay layers in heterogeneous methane hydrate reservoirs acted as a barrier to depressurization with horizontal wells.
