Propane dehydrogenation over extra-framework In(i) in chabazite zeolites

Yong Yuan et al.

Summary: In this study, the effect of different supports on indium speciation and propane dehydrogenation (PDH) was investigated. It was found that indium could form stable cationic species in CHA zeolite, leading to a catalyst with better selectivity and stability. This is important for studying other alkane dehydrogenation reactions.

Enhancing the dehydrogenation properties of LiAlH4 using K2NiF6 as additive

M. A. N. Ahmad et al.

Summary: In this study, K2NiF6 was used as an additive to improve the dehydrogenation properties of LiAlH4. The addition of K2NiF6 significantly reduced the decomposition temperature and enhanced the dehydrogenation kinetics of LiAlH4. The morphology study showed that the LiAlH4 particles became smaller and less agglomerated when K2NiF6 was added. The in situ formation of new phases during the dehydrogenation process, as well as a reduction in particle size, were believed to contribute to the improved dehydrogenation characteristics of LiAlH4.

A facile synthesis of monodisperse cobalt-ruthenium alloy nanoparticles as catalysts for the dehydrogenation of morpholine borane and the hydrogenation of various organic compounds

Hasan Can et al.

Summary: In this study, a wet-chemical protocol was developed to synthesize monodisperse cobalt-ruthenium alloy nanoparticles, which can be used as catalysts for the hydrolytic dehydrogenation of morpholine borane and the hydrogenation of various organic compounds using morpholine borane as a hydrogen source. The alloy nanoparticles, when supported on carbon black or reduced graphene oxide, exhibited different catalytic performances in different reactions.

Summary: In this study, PdNi nanoparticles with different atomic compositions were successfully synthesized using a polyol technique and characterized using X-ray diffraction and electrochemical investigations. The electrocatalytic activity of PdNi/C catalysts in alkaline solution was found to be superior to benchmark Pd/C and Pt/C catalysts, and PdNi 50:50 exhibited better stability in alkaline solution compared to other compositions.
