Summary: The demand for lithium has increased significantly in the past decade due to its usage as a mainstream battery for electric vehicles and electronic devices. Lithium ion-sieve technology (LIS) has emerged as a promising method for extracting lithium from various sources, offering advantages such as low energy consumption, high uptake capacity, environmental friendliness, and superior lithium selectivity. This review paper critically examines recent developments in lithium extraction and recovery using LIS adsorbents and membranes from aqueous solutions, and highlights the stability challenges encountered with LIS adsorbents.

Simultaneous degradation of refractory organics, antibiotics and antibiotic resistance genes from landfill leachate concentrate by GAC/O3

Summary: In this study, a GAC/O3 system was used to simultaneously degrade multiple emerging contaminants from LLROC. The removal efficiency of refractory organics reached 55.7% and UV254 removal rate reached 77.3% under the optimal conditions. Ofloxacin, enoxacin, azithromycin, and tetracycline showed degradation efficiencies of 95.7%, 83.6%, 98.5%, and 100.0%, respectively.
