Local Structure and Conductivity in the BIGAVOX System

Yajun Yue et al.

Summary: In this study, both long-range and local structures in the Bi2V1-xGaxO5.5-x-delta (BIGAVOX) system were investigated. It was found that the distance between bismuthate and vanadate layers increased with the introduction of more Ga, indicating enhanced ionic interaction between these layers. Different structural forms of Ga and V were also identified. Additionally, reversible phase transitions were observed in different compositions upon heating, and certain compositions showed high conductivity.

Bi2V1-x(Mg0.25Cu0.25Ni0.25Zn0.25)xO5.5-3x/2: A high entropy dopant BIMEVOX

A. Dziegielewska et al.

Summary: A new BIMEVOX ceramic system was prepared using a high entropy dopant approach, resulting in the observation of a specific gamma-type phase within a certain compositional range. Changes in defect structure were used to explain the variation in lattice parameters with compositional changes, while the high entropy dopant approach did not have a detrimental effect on ionic conductivity.
