Taxodinoids A-D, four heptacyclic C40 diterpene dimers from the seeds of Taxodium distichum

Wen-Li Wang et al.

Summary: An unprecedented bis-diterpenic anhydride Taxodinoid A, along with three novel pyrane-fused abietane-type diterpene dimers, were isolated from the seeds of Taxodium distichum. Their structures were determined using spectroscopic data, X-ray crystallography, and electronic circular dichroism calculation. Additionally, a biosynthetic pathway and the suppressing effects on migration activity against U2 OS cells were discussed.

Development of polymorphic microsatellite markers for the Tertiary relict tree species Taiwania cryptomerioides (Cupressaceae) in East Asia

Mengyun Qin et al.

Summary: Fifteen nuclear microsatellite markers were developed and characterized for investigating the genetic diversity of Taiwania cryptomerioides. These markers showed polymorphism in samples from four different regions in China, providing a useful tool for future population genetic studies of this species in East Asia.
