Summary: A simple, rapid, low cost, selective, and sensitive analytical method was developed using fatty acid-based ternary deep eutectic solvents (TDESs) for extraction and determination of tetracycline in honey, milk, and water samples by vortex assisted (VA) microextraction and UV-vis spectrophotometer. The method exhibited high recovery, low detection limit, wide linear range, and was successfully applied to real samples.

Effective antimony removal from wastewaters using polymer modified sepiolite: Isotherm kinetic and thermodynamic analysis

Summary: In this study, a highly effective antimony (III) adsorbent was developed by modifying sepiolite with a polymer. The surface morphology and adsorptive chemical groups of the adsorbent were characterized, and the impact of batch adsorption conditions on adsorption performance was investigated. The results showed that the adsorbent had a high adsorption capacity and good cyclic performance, making it suitable for removing antimony (III) pollutants from aqueous solutions.

Arsenic removal by pomelo peel biochar coated with iron

Adsorptive removal of micron-sized polystyrene particles using magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles

Summary: This study evaluated the use of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles for the removal of microplastics. The results showed that iron oxide particles were able to effectively remove microplastic particles from water and promote aggregation through hydrophobic interactions. The adsorption performance was inhibited by the presence of ions in the environmental sample, but could be improved by increasing the amount of iron oxide particles.

Adsorptive removal of micron-sized polystyrene particles using magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles

Summary: The study demonstrated the potential advantages of using magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles for efficiently removing microplastic particles from water. Results showed that hydrophobic interactions played a key role in the formation of complexes between iron oxide and PS particles, and increasing the amount of iron oxide nanoparticles improved the adsorption performance. The ability of iron oxide particles to adsorb PS particles was inhibited by ions in environmental freshwater samples, but could be recovered through a desorption process.

Removal of microplastics from aqueous solutions by magnetic carbon nanotubes
