This paper reviews the progress of chiral graphene materials for enantiomer separation, discussing their synthesis strategies, separation mechanism, and applications, as well as exploring related issues and future prospects.
Chirality is an interesting natural property and has a special status in living organisms. Pure enantiomers have a very important role in biological health and safety. Enantiomer separation is an effective method to obtain pure enantiomers. Chiral graphene materials show promising prospects in the field of enantiomer separation due to their unique structure, properties, functions and controlled synthesis. This paper reviews the progress of chiral graphene materials for enantiomer separation. Firstly, the synthesis strategies of chiral graphene materials for enantiomer separation are discussed in depth based on their research history. Secondly, the enantiomer sepa-ration mechanism of chiral graphene materials was systematically analyzed. Last but not least, the application of chiral graphene materials in enantiomer separation is summarized in detail and classified according to common techniques for chiral separation. In addition, other related issues are introduced, including key issues to be considered and future prospects.
