Enhanced oxidative desulfurization of liquid model fuel under microwave irradiation over W2N@C catalyst nanoarchitectonics

The catalyst W2N@C exhibited the highest ODS performance under microwave irradiation, with a 3.4 times higher oxidation rate of thiophene compared to conventional electric heating.

The use of melamine as a precursor resulted in the best performing N-CNT catalyst with excellent methanol tolerance.
