Stimuli-responsive conductive hydrogel touch sensor for electrochemical and fluorescence monitoring of acetylcholinesterase activity and inhibition

Summary: In this study, a stimuli-responsive electrochemical and fluorescence biosensor was developed to examine the activity and inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE). The sensor used carbonized diselenide-crosslinked polymer dot-loaded polydopamine nanoparticles (PDA@dsPD) incorporated into polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan hydrogel. The sensor showed a sensitive response to AChE and could visualize the fluorescence signal expressed by AChE.
