Highly efficient visible-light-driven photocatalytic degradation of gaseous toluene by rutile-anatase TiO 2 @MIL-101 composite with two heterojunctions

Effect of calcination temperature on the structure and performance of rod-like MnCeOx derived from MOFs catalysts

Summary: In this study, MnCeOx catalysts derived from MOFs were synthesized at different calcination temperatures. The effect of calcination temperature on the catalysts was investigated. The 1Mn1Ce-300 catalyst exhibited the best performance, with good durability and water resistance. The enhanced catalytic activity of 1Mn1Ce-300 was attributed to higher molar ratios of metal ions and oxygen species, as well as increased surface oxygen vacancy and better low temperature reduction.

A singlet oxygen dominated process through photocatalysis of CuS-modified MIL-101(Fe) assisted by peroxymonosulfate for efficient water disinfection

Summary: This study developed an O-1(2)-dominated process for bacterial inactivation through visible light photocatalysis assisted by PMS. A novel CuS-modified MIL-101(Fe) photocatalyst was synthesized, which enhanced the photocatalytic performance. The results showed that O-1(2) attacked bacterial cell membranes and increased intracellular ROS levels, leading to irreversible cell death. Additionally, the developed system efficiently inactivated other bacteria in practical wastewater.

Electron structure modulation and bicarbonate surrounding enhance Fenton-like reactions performance of Co-Co PBA

Modulated construction of Fe-based MOF via formic acid modulator for enhanced degradation of sulfamethoxazole:Design, degradation pathways, and mechanism

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been studied for their excellent environmental catalytic capabilities. In this study, a modulation approach using formic acid as a modulator was successfully used to synthesize Fe-based MOFs. The modulated FeMOFs-2 sample showed high specific surface area and catalytic activity, effectively degrading SMX with almost 95% removal efficiency. The addition of formic acid induced the formation of more coordinatively unsaturated metal sites in the catalyst, resulting in structural defects and increased catalytic performance.
