Calculation of reaction network and product properties of delayed coking process based on structural increments

Lei Ye et al.

Summary: The delayed coking reaction kinetic model based on the structure-oriented lumping method accurately predicts the yield and composition of coking products, as well as the characteristic properties such as distillation range, density, research octane number, and cetane number of coking gasoline and diesel. The model can calculate the impact of different structural increments on the properties of coking products. This research has significant implications for guiding the subsequent processing and process optimization of delayed coking plants.

Reaction network and molecular distribution of sulfides in gasoline and diesel of FCC process

Xinglong Qin et al.

Summary: A molecular-level model based on the Structure Oriented Lumping (SOL) method was established to guide the accurate control of sulfides in gasoline and diesel of the Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) process. By tracking their generation paths and reaction paths in a complex reaction network, the conversion law of sulfides in gasoline and diesel was investigated. The quantitative effects of operation conditions on sulfide content in gasoline and diesel were also calculated.

Reaction network of sulfur compounds in delayed coking process

Biao Xing et al.

Summary: A molecular-level reaction kinetic model was established to investigate the conversion behavior of sulfur compounds in delayed coking process, with a reaction network consisting of 81,081 reactions. The reliability of the model was verified by industrial data, and it was found that the model could accurately calculate the distribution of sulfur compounds in coking gasoline. The model can reveal the influences of reaction conditions on sulfur compounds conversion at the molecular level, contributing to the accurate control of sulfur content in coking gasoline.

Molecular level analysis on performance of diameter expanding reactor to improve gasoline quality in FCC process

Xinglong Qin et al.

Summary: A molecular level model based on the SOL method was established to study the effects of a diameter expanding reactor on product distribution in the FCC process. The results showed that the diameter expanding reactor could increase iso-paraffins content and decrease olefins content in gasoline.

Analysis of Heat and Mass Transfer and Parametric Sensitivity in an Experimental Fixed-Bed Reactor for the Catalytic Cracking of Heavy Hydrocarbons Based on Modeling and Experiments

Zahra Nargessi et al.

Summary: A heterogeneous model based on a six-lump kinetic model was developed for analyzing a fixed-bed catalytic cracking reactor of a heavy hydrocarbon stream, in order to study the operating parameters and heat/mass transfer inside the reactor. The results showed that heat transfer is mainly limited by the heat transfer between the reactor wall and the fluid, playing a significant role in the overall heat transfer coefficient.
