Luminescent properties and energy transfer mechanism from Tb3+ to Eu3+ in single-phase color-adjustable Sr3MgSi2O8:Eu3+,Tb3+ phosphor prepared by the sol-gel method

Xirong Chen et al.

Summary: A series of single-phase color-adjustable Sr3MgSi2O8:Eu3+,2Tb(3+) phosphors were synthesized using the sol-gel method. The optimal doping concentration of Tb3+ was determined to be 2%, and the emission intensity of Eu3+ increases with its concentration based on the Tb3+-> Eu3+ energy transfer mechanism. The phosphors exhibit good application potential in ultraviolet and near-ultraviolet white light emitting diodes due to their good thermal stability and tunable color range.

Sheng Wu et al.

Summary: This work investigates the luminescent properties of Ba2ZnWO6:Bi3+ phosphors and finds that ultrabroadband emission can be achieved through Li+/Na+/K+ co-doping, and tunable emissions can be realized by changing the content of doped ions or the excitation wavelength. Single-phase warm white light WLEDs were successfully prepared using Ba2ZnWO6:Bi3+ phosphors, 0.03Na+ phosphors, and 365nm InGaN chips.
