Exocytic machineries differentially control mediator release from allergen-triggered RBL-2H3 cells

Pratikshya Adhikari et al.

Summary: Mast cells utilize different exocytic pathways to release different proinflammatory mediators. SNAREs and SM proteins play a role in this process, but the specific mechanisms involved are still unclear. This study systematically knocked down or knocked out various SNAREs and Munc18 homologs in mast cells and observed the impact on the release of different mediators.
