Tolerability of Sacubitril/Valsartan in Patients With Advanced Heart Failure

Justin M. Vader et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the tolerability of initiating sacubitril/valsartan in patients with chronic advanced heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction. The results showed that intolerance to low doses of sacubitril/valsartan is common in patients with advanced chronic HF and can be predicted by certain risk factors.

Summary: There was no significant difference in 6MWT distance and non-sedentary daytime physical activity between sacubitril/valsartan and enalapril in patients with HFREF after 12 weeks of treatment.

Effect of Sacubitril/Valsartan vs Standard Medical Therapies on Plasma NT-proBNP Concentration and Submaximal Exercise Capacity in Patients With Heart Failure and Preserved Ejection Fraction The PARALLAX Randomized Clinical Trial

Burkert Pieske et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that compared with standard medical therapies, treatment with sacubitril/valsartan led to a significant reduction in plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide levels at 12 weeks but did not result in a significant improvement in 6-minute walk distance at 24 weeks for patients with heart failure and LVEF higher than 40%.

Efficacy and Safety of Sacubitril/Valsartan in Japanese Patients With Chronic Heart Failure and Reduced Ejection Fraction - Results From the PARALLEL-HF Study -

Hiroyuki Tsutsui et al.

Summary: In Japanese patients with HFrEF, there was no difference in reduction in the risk of CV death or HF hospitalization between sacubitril/valsartan and enalapril, and sacubitril/valsartan was safe and well tolerated.
