In this work, Co film composed of Co nanofibers supported on Ti substrate was prepared by a magnetic-field-assisted deposition process. The as-prepared Ti supported Co film exhibited high catalytic activity in the hydrolysis of ammonia borane with apparent activation energy of 28.0 kJ mol(-1), which is much lower than that of many Co-based nanocatalysts reported in literature. Also, it displayed improved durability and reusability in contrast to many powdery Co-based nanocatalysts. Its high performance renders it as a strong catalyst candidate in the field of chemical hydrogen-storage, which can be applied in the hydrolysis of ammonia borane for hydrogen generation.
