The expression of the GATA6 gene in oral carcinoma cell lines

Cheng-Lin Xu et al.

Summary: The study investigated the expression level of the GATA6 gene in different oral cancer cells, showing significant differences in mRNA and protein levels. The findings suggest the potential association of the GATA6 gene with the occurrence and progression of certain oral cancers.

miR-944 Suppresses EGF-Induced EMT in Colorectal Cancer Cells by Directly Targeting GATA6

JingTong Tang et al.

Summary: miR-944 influences the malignant phenotype of colorectal cancer (CRC) by regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. It is negatively associated with UICC stage, lymph nodes, and liver metastasis in CRC, with patients expressing high levels of miR-944 having better survival rates. The miR-944/GATA6 ratio could serve as a novel prognostic biomarker and independent risk prognosis factor in CRC.
