Identification and characterization of circRNAs in the liver of blunt snout bream (Megalobrama amblycephala) infected with Aeromonas hydrophila

Summary: In this study, 250 circRNAs were identified in Megalobrama amblycephala liver post Aeromonas hydrophila infection, with GO and KEGG analyses revealing enrichment of DE circRNAs parental genes in phagocytosis, complement and coagulation cascades, and Fc gamma R-mediated phagocytosis pathways. The ceRNA interaction network and WGCNA analysis further highlighted the important role of circRNAs in immune response, providing valuable insights into the immune response mechanism of M. amblycephala to A. hydrophila.
