2D materials for organic and perovskite photovoltaics

Um Kanta Aryal et al.

Summary: The power conversion efficiency of thin film solar cells based on organic and perovskite materials has improved significantly in recent years. Two-dimensional materials, such as graphene and its derivatives, as well as transitional metal dichalcogenides, MXene, black phosphorous, and boron nitrides, have shown positive influence on the photophysical processes, device stability, and lifetime of these solar cells. The integration of these 2D materials offers potential for the development of lightweight, eco-friendly, high performance, and cost-effective flexible solar cells.
