Behavioral patterns of yaks (Bos grunniens) grazing on alpine shrub meadows of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

Chuntao Yang et al.

Summary: Studies have shown that yak exhibit similar diurnal behavioral patterns in pastures with different shrub coverage, but with increasing shrub coverage, they allocate more time to walking, reduce ruminating/resting time, and have more bites per minute and steps per minute in the middle and high shrub-coverage groups compared to the control and low shrub-coverage groups.
