Rapid Removal of Perfluoroalkanesulfonates from Water by β-Cyclodextrin Covalent Organic Frameworks

Efficient Removal of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances from Water with Zirconium-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks

Summary: Rapid population growth has increased demand for food, putting pressure on the global agricultural industry and leading to the widespread use of agrochemicals. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have shown potential for efficiently removing pollutants from the environment, with research focusing on their photocatalytic abilities. While progress is being made in applying MOF-catalyzed processes for water depollution, more studies are needed for a full assessment of their potential.
