A perspective on the applications of functionalized nanogels: promises and challenges

Functionalization of chitosan by grafting Cu(II)-5-amino-1H-tetrazole complex as a magnetically recyclable catalyst for C-N coupling reaction

Summary: In this study, a Cu(II)-5-amino-1H-tetrazole complex immobilized on modified magnetic chitosan was successfully applied as an effective catalyst for C-N bond cross-coupling reaction, resulting in high yields and environmentally friendly conditions. The prepared magnetic nanocatalyst showed high efficacy and recyclability with minimal loss of catalytic activity.

Folic acid-conjugated pH-responsive poly(methacrylic acid) nanospheres for targeted delivery of anticancer drugs to breast cancer cells

Summary: Folic acid (FA)-conjugated poly(methacrylic acid) nanospheres were synthesized as a pH-responsive nanocarrier for targeted delivery of doxorubicin (DOX) to breast cancer cells. The prepared nanospheres exhibited efficient entrapment and loading of DOX, and demonstrated pH-responsiveness by releasing more DOX at lower pH. FA-conjugated nanospheres showed enhanced anticancer efficacy against folate receptor-breast cancer cells.

Chemiluminescent magnetic nanoparticles with good catalytic activity and rapid separation capability and sensitive sensing for H2O2

Cobalt-imidazole metal-organic framework loaded with luminol for paper-based chemiluminescence detection of catechol with use of a smartphone
