Rapid and multiplexed quantification of Salmonella, Escherichia coli O157: H7, and Shigella flexneri in ground beef using flow cytometry

Summary: A rapid and quantitative method for multiplexed detection of Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, and S. flexneri in ground beef was developed using a sample pretreatment protocol and flow cytometry, enabling analysis within 1 hour without the need for cultural enrichment. The method demonstrated good recovery rates for the three pathogens and had a detection range of 103 to 108 cells/g, with detection limits of 3.1 x 103 cells/g for Salmonella, 2.1 x 103 cells/g for E. coli O157:H7, and 2.3 x 103 cells/g for S. flexneri in ground beef.

Construction of a Polarity-Switchable Photoelectrochemical Biosensor for Ultrasensitive Detection of miRNA-141
