Size-segregated aerosol fluxes, deposition velocities, and chemical composition in an Alpine valley

Rossella Urgnani et al.

Summary: This paper presents measurements of aerosol fluxes above an Alpine pasture in the Italian Alps. The study found that aerosol concentrations increased significantly during winter due to biomass burning emissions, while in summer, aerosol formation was mainly attributed to secondary inorganic aerosol. The research also showed that aerosol deposition was the prevailing phenomenon under stable atmospheric conditions. Turbulence and precipitation intensity also had an impact on aerosol fluxes.
