Guanidinium-Pseudohalide Perovskite Interfaces Enable Surface Reconstruction of Colloidal Quantum Dots for Efficient and Stable Photovoltaics

Jonghee Yang et al.

Summary: This study achieves high-performance and stable CQDPVs by reconstructing the oxidized CQD surface with thiocyanate anions for better surface passivation and promoting the construction of epitaxial perovskite bridges within the CQD matrix using guanidinium cations. The photocurrents are over 30 mA cm(-2) with nearly 80% quantum efficiency at excitonic peaks, and stable operation is maintained under humid and ambient conditions, indicating interfacial recombination associated with band alignment governs both the CQDPV performance and stability.

Ultrafast exciton transport at early times in quantum dot solids

Zhilong Zhang et al.

Summary: This study reveals the exciton dynamics in quantum dot solids using transient absorption microscopy and observes the changes and transitions in initial exciton diffusion. The spacing between quantum dots, packing density, and heterogeneity all have an impact on exciton dynamics. These findings contribute to the control of optoelectronic properties in quantum dot solids.

All-Inorganic CsPbI3Quantum Dot Solar Cells with Efficiency over 16% by Defect Control

Linlin Zhang et al.

Summary: An anion/cation synergy strategy is proposed to improve the structural stability of CsPbI(3) QDs and reduce defects. Zn-doped CsPbI3(QDs show better thermodynamic stability and higher PLQY compared to pristine CsPbI(3) QDs. This strategy enables CsPbI(3) QDSCs to achieve a power conversion efficiency over 16%.

Surface matrix curing of inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots for solar cells with efficiency over 16%

Donglin Jia et al.

Summary: Inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) show high potential for photovoltaic applications, but their surface matrix suffers from deterioration during the purification process. A surface matrix curing (SMC) strategy was introduced to address this issue, significantly improving the optoelectronic properties and stability of the PQDs. The PQDs treated with SMC exhibited enhanced photovoltaic performance, with the highest power conversion efficiency achieved among inorganic CsPbI3 PQDSCs. This work provides valuable insights into surface chemistry of PQDs and offers a new approach for high-performing PQD optoelectronic devices.
