A hydrogel-based electrochemical transistor (HECT) is proposed here, showing long-term stability, a wide operating temperature, and robustness against damage, while successfully mimicking diverse synaptic functions. The transistor can be integrated with various sensors, providing a promising strategy for the development of future neuromorphic electronics.
