The First Principles Calculation on the Raman Spectrum and Optical Properties of the Defect Monolayer MoS2

Jinjiao Feng et al.

Summary: This study investigates the differences in Raman spectra of monolayer MoS2 due to varying thickness of deposited films during chemical vapor deposition. Upon irradiation by fast neutrons, the Raman spectrum of MoS2 shows changes, with red shifts and broadening of specific modes, as well as the appearance of a new peak. Calculations of Raman spectra and optical properties of monolayer MoS2 with defects confirm that defects can lead to shifts in peak values and changes in dielectric function.
