Summary: In this study, it was found that younger, male, dissatisfied, lacking family or supervisory support officers were more likely to turn a blind eye to misconduct against inmates. Additionally, officers who perceived their coworkers aligning with inmates were more inclined to accept maltreatment of prisoners.
