Basic Body Awareness Therapy versus standard care in hip osteoarthritis. A randomized controlled trial

Aarid Liland Olsen et al.

Summary: Basic Body Awareness Therapy (BBAT) was not found to be more effective than self-initiated standard care in reducing pain and improving daily functioning in people with hip osteoarthritis (HOA). However, BBAT led to significantly improved movement quality, and compliance with the therapy was associated with improvements in other health aspects.

The efficacy of meditation-based mind-body interventions for mental disorders: A meta-review of 17 meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials

Davy Vancampfort et al.

Summary: Our meta-review suggests that mindfulness has a large effect size in mental health interventions, while yoga shows a smaller effect size in schizophrenia, providing effective supplementary therapies for individuals with mental disorders. However, high-quality meta-analytic evidence for qigong and tai chi is currently lacking.
