Association between perceived transportation disadvantages and opportunity inaccessibility: A social equity study

Sicheng Wang et al.

Summary: This study found that perceived transportation disadvantages, such as high travel costs and limited travel ability, were positively associated with the perception of travel time-based opportunity inaccessibility. Safety concerns did not directly impact time-based inaccessibility perception but were related to high costs/efforts and limited ability. Perceived inaccessibility was found to be unequally distributed across population groups and associated with the built environment.
