Endoscopic treatment for gastric antral vascular ectasia

Mengyuan Peng et al.

Summary: Gastric antral vascular ectasia (GAVE) is an uncommon cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Pharmacotherapy, endoscopy, and surgery are the main treatment options, with endoscopy being the common choice. Different endoscopic approaches, including APC, RFA, and EBL, have varying success rates and recurrence rates. Follow-up endoscopy is important for managing the high recurrence of GAVE after endoscopic treatment.
