Eye-tracking IQ: Cognitive capacity and strategy use on a ratio-bias task

Valerie A. Thompson

Summary: This study found a significant positive relationship between cognitive ability and reasoning performance, with cognitive ability positively associated with correct performance at Time2. Measuring cognitive reflection without maths: Development and validation of the verbal cognitive reflection test

Miroslav Sirota et al.

Summary: The verbal cognitive reflection test (CRT-V) was developed to address the issue of confounding reflection ability with mathematical ability in the original numerical CRT. It showed good statistical and psychometric properties, high content validity, and was found to be less associated with math anxiety. The CRT-V can complement existing numerical tests of cognitive reflection and is not affected by gender differences.
